ABOUT US
Carrigtwohill village is located 11 km east of
Cork City on the main Cork-Waterford route (N25) and was up
to a few years ago, in essence, a small rural village with a population of
approximately 1,000 people in the village area and 2,000 in the wider
community. The eastern end contains the heart of the village with its
church, schools, linear shopping street and various amenities. Our
Community is continually growing with the population expected to increase
by up to 3 times in the next few years.
Carrigtwohill village is in
close proximity to Fota Wildlife Park, Fota House & Gardens, Fota
Golf Club and the Sheraton Fota Resort.
Historical sites such as Barryscourt Castle, Ballyannon
Castle and Carrigtwohill Caves are some of the many tourist attractions that
Carrigtwohill has to offer to visitors.
Carrigtwohill Village is
a remarkably strong and vibrant community. Our Vision is to retain this
unique character and community spirit.
Carrigtwohill
Community Council is essentially a group of people uniting,
